Komorebi Cycling Team exists to create space for riders who have often been overlooked in the cycling world. We celebrate women, trans, and femme cyclists through every ride, clinic, and gathering we host. Our foundation rests on the belief that bicycles can be tools for exploration, connection, and personal growth when the environment is intentionally inclusive. From weekend group rides to multi-day bikepacking trips, every event is designed to welcome riders at all levels and help them discover what they are capable of on two wheels.

Learning happens best when it happens together. Our educational clinics cover everything from basic bike maintenance to advanced route planning and gear selection, always taught in a supportive, hands-on setting. We want every rider to feel prepared and confident before they clip in. Whether you are figuring out how to pack for your first overnight trip or dialing in your bike fit for a long season ahead, our community shares knowledge freely and celebrates every question as a step toward independence on the bike.

The heart of our team beats strongest around campfires and on long stretches of gravel. Storytelling is woven into everything we do, because every ride holds moments worth sharing. We gather to swap tales from the road, reflect on challenges overcome, and laugh about the unexpected detours that make bikepacking unforgettable. These stories do more than entertain — they remind us that adventure is accessible and that the collective wisdom of fellow riders is one of our greatest resources.

Spring marks the beginning of our ride series, a seasonal rhythm that carries us from the first thaw through the golden light of autumn. Each season brings fresh routes, new faces, and opportunities to reconnect with familiar roads and trails. Our spring clinic helps riders shake off the winter dust, tune their bikes, and set intentions for the months ahead. By the time summer arrives, the team is in full motion, with weekend rides, gear testing sessions, and overnight trips filling the calendar.

Bikepacking sits at the core of our identity. There is something transformative about loading your bike with just enough gear and heading into the unknown for a night or several. Our bikepacking trips are designed to be approachable yet challenging, with routes that showcase the beauty of the landscapes around Whitefish, Montana and beyond. We emphasize preparation and self-sufficiency while fostering the kind of camaraderie that only emerges when a group of riders settles into camp after a long day on the trail.

Representation matters deeply in cycling media, which is why we produce photos, videos, and written perspectives that reflect the diversity of our community. Too often, the stories told about cycling come from a narrow set of voices. We aim to broaden that lens by elevating rider voices that have been underrepresented, capturing genuine moments from our rides and gatherings, and sharing them in ways that invite others to see themselves in the sport. Every image and article we produce is meant to inspire participation.

We believe that a strong cycling community is built on more than just riding together. It requires trust, mutual support, and a willingness to show up for one another both on and off the bike. Our team fosters connections that extend beyond weekend rides — friendships that grow through shared miles, mechanical mishaps solved roadside, and the quiet encouragement that happens when someone is struggling up a climb. These bonds are what keep riders coming back season after season.

The WTF Bikexplorers Summit has been a gathering point for our broader community, bringing together riders from across the country to share knowledge, build skills, and celebrate the growing movement of inclusive bikepacking. These summits are equal parts education and inspiration, with workshops, panel discussions, and group rides that create lasting connections. The energy from these gatherings fuels our local programming and reminds us that we are part of something much larger than a single team or town.

Getting involved with Komorebi Cycling Team starts with simply showing up. Whether you are a seasoned rider looking for new adventure partners or someone who just bought their first bike and wants to learn, there is a place for you here. Our ride calendar stays full throughout the riding season, and we encourage anyone curious to scroll through upcoming events, reach out with questions, and join us for a pedal. The only requirement is a willingness to ride, learn, and connect.
